Our Todos Santos destination wedding was an absolute magical and beautiful dream come true! Our dream was made possible due to the hard work and vision of Aimée Newlander with Wedding by Aimée. Aimée recognized our needs and values from the very start, and then she enhanced them with her extensive expertise in destination and ‘slow’ weddings. She provided us with excellent options for sustainable and local vendors in the Todos Santos area. For example, Aimée sourced hand-made, authentic pottery from a local artisan family for our wedding. Early on, Aimée identified our respect for nature and animals in our relationship and recommended locally made traditional Mexican animal bud vases for our dinning floral design and guest mementos. The end product was absolutely gorgeous and perfect in regard to aesthetics and our values. It warms our hearts that we supported a rural local artisan family through our union.

Our wedding was also unique because we had two combined ceremonies. We had a “western” ceremony and a traditional Persian ceremony with a ‘Sofre’. Aimée played a pivotal role in the coordination of the ceremony with our family and our vendors. Our photographer, also a Todos Santos local, captured both ceremonies beautifully and even used a drone to get great overview shots of the venue and landscape!

Throughout the whole planning process Aimée was always so warm, respectful, and genuine and her communication was consistently clear and effective. She also amazed us by her deep thoughtfulness, respect, and extremely close attention to our words and needs. We sometimes felt as though she was reading our minds! She made us feel confident and reassured throughout the whole process. Planning a destination wedding is no easy feat and we are so grateful that we found Weddings by Aimée at the start of our wedding journey. Aimée went out of her way on many occasions to have impromptu meetings with our wedding venue, who unfortunately was short staffed during most of our planning process. She put in the extra time needed for coordination and effective communication with this vendor.

As mother of the bride, and retired, I thought I could do it all. But, thankfully, my daughter convinced me otherwise. Now 1 week after the wedding, I can safely say that my daughter and I could not have managed on our own. Aimée’s value to my daughter and me can be measured not only in the success of our event, but in our overall joyful experience. Aimée’s background and Master Timeline tool gave us confidence that our logistics were in good hands, but what made her special to us was her unrelenting support of both the couple’s vision and the collaboration with me as the mom. Priceless.

We met Aimée together on Zoom and we were all taken with her warmth, sincerity, and ready smile. She gave me time separately as well so I could learn how to work effectively in the context of BALANCING the perspectives of couple, mom, and coordinator as we moved through the process.

Throughout the planning, Aimée gave us the benefit of her experience: timely communication, responses to our questions, advice and Input when requested, and support when COVID presented unique and significant challenges. She was our ally when we had multiple catering managers at our venue due to COVID and other circumstances. But through it all, she held the couple’s vision for their wedding as the ultimate guidepost for all design decisions, planning approaches, sustainability options, and personal touches.

As the last month before the wedding approached, Aimée wanted us to feel that the hard work of planning and organization was done so we could begin to enjoy the celebration itself. She made sure we felt secure with her taking the reins with our vendors. It was easy to trust that she ‘had our back’.
That was crucial as late challenges with our venue creeped up and Aimée was our advocate in resolving them, representing us in the 3-way conversations she had with the venue and the event rental company.

Despite repetitive and detailed communications, there were some unexpected situations that had to be handled during the day of the wedding. Here’s Aimée’s magic: these were addressed ‘behind the scenes’ and we were blissfully unaware as we and our guests were immersed in the celebration!

Aimée won our trust from the very beginning. And she never let us down. As a matter of fact, she kept us above the fray from start to finish!

First and foremost Aimee is absolutely incredible and we have absolutely no doubt our wedding would not have been the best day of our lives without her!

I spent many months poring over every review site I could find to look for wedding coordinators (NOT planners). My fiance and I are high school sweethearts and we had been planning our special day for a long time…and THEN covid hit and we had to postpone our wedding an entire year. I had a strong vision for our wedding and considered myself very organized. From the first meeting with Aimee we were immediately calmed by her professionalism, extensive experience and warm and friendly personality. We also loved learning about her involvement and passion for sustainability in the wedding industry. We hired Aimee and it was 100% THE BEST DECISION WE MADE!

As our coordinator the value Aimee added was invaluable. Our wedding venue was a nice hotel in Santa Cruz but (due to covid) had a TON of lack of communication. Aimee was there every step of the way to help navigate and advise us. The last 4 weeks Aimee completely took over and handled ALL communication with vendors coordinating with our venue. She took all of the communication off our plate and it was the biggest relief so we could spend the weeks leading up spending time together…stress free!

Day of we had a lot of little things that ultimately turned into big things ( covid testing checklist, last minute issues with venue, and helping make sure each item we brought went to the correct place). Aimee’s organization and communication were clear and absolutely essential to everything coming together. We trusted Aimee 100% to help make our wedding day perfect for us and she and her team delivered! We were so thankful she had our back every step of the way.

Throughout the 18 months we worked together Aimee’s communication level was great. She held onto our vision and we were so thankful. She also had a ton of great ideas for us to implement like ordering everyone Mcdonalds after the wedding… HUGE HIT!

Aimee was so valuable, experienced and professional. If you are considering booking with Aimee DO NOT HESITATE she is wonderful and has become a lifelong friend.

Definitely recommend Aimee and her team – she was attentive, had good recommendations on vendors as well as ideas to incorporate into our wedding and helped us stay to true to our wedding vision – even when it was sometimes difficult with family opinions, etc. Aimee also has a calm and warm demeanor, which is SO invaluable during the wedding planning process and of course on the wedding day. In addition, she came through on a few things at the last minute that we ended up needing last minute. Our actual wedding day was so amazing and so magical, everything went so great and my husband and I just got enjoy it and not worry about it a thing. It was perfect – thank you Aimee!

We BELIZE in Aimee´! On February 8th, 2019, forty of our family and closest friends traveled from California to the beautiful island of Ambergris Caye in Belize to join us for our destination wedding. From pre-planning consultation before we selected our destination, through the entire planning process, and all through our wedding day, Aimee´ put the SUPER in Superstar. Our wedding in Belize went on without a hitch. (Or if there were any hitches Aimee´ made sure to handle them behind the scenes and keep the day stress free for the couple). While our resort specialized in “wedding packages”, we did not want a cookie cutter event. Aimee´ saw to it that our personal touches would be represented. She took over communications leading up to the event and kept us in the loop every step of the way. Upon arrival, Aimee´ made a point to get to know the resort staff and ensure that our vision for our special day came to fruition. We can not say enough wonderful things about Aimee´’s: service, attention to detail, and dedication to the customer experience. We are so grateful not only for her services and professionalism, but more importantly the relationship we developed along the way. It is apparent that Aimee´ is dedicated to connecting with her clients, their vision, and unique love story. Thank you Aimee´, our wedding was truly unBelizeable!

We’re absolutely speechless
Not only did she capture our vision for our elopement in the best possible way but she made us feel loved and at ease from the very first video call all the way to the ceremony. She matched us perfectly with the vendors she found for us and graciously got everyone on the same page. During the big day she took great command of the day and made sure that everything would unfold just as we had planned. We are super grateful that Aimée made our dream come true and feel that we have also made a friend for life.

It doesn’t matter from where you are in the world (we’re from Sweden) you should let Aimée take care of you USA wedding.

Aimee is exceptional and truly a special person! We continue to look back at our wedding, and have huge grins and filled hearts when we do so. We attribute this largely to the incredible work Aimee did in coordinating our wedding – from helping us select our vendors, to organizing the timeline, to making every moment special and calm by her presence and direction.

We loved the slow wedding concept and really felt Aimee stayed true to it. She also stayed true to our vision (tuscan-themed, romantic, slow, intimate wedding) and value of contributing to the community, being eco friendly, and giving our guests a taste of the Carmel, CA culture (via our vendor selection). As we had our wedding at a private residence, we hand selected all our vendors. The wedding vendors Aimee recommended were exceptional; the music, catering, and floral was better than we imagined. The people operating these small businesses were just remarkable people; and some felt like they became a part of the family.

Aimee went above and beyond to make sure that all of our in person meetings created space for creativity while maintaining direction in a calm manner. Her professional yet personable demeanor at the wedding was noted by all. My family was extremely impressed and I had a number of wedding guests say that they found her presence warm and inviting. Everyone felt the wedding was extremely well orchestrated. This was not a small feat given we had a complicated transportation situation and then needing a last minute back up option with a potential call for rain (with a partially outdoor wedding). Side note: It did not rain. 😉

The time with Aimee made us feel special and made the process of planning enjoyable. She is genuinely dedicated to supporting couples create their most memorable day.

Where do we begin to compile the many ways in which Aimée and her team contributed to the magic of our series of special days? From the first moment we spoke by phone across the miles, we knew she was THE ONE to fulfill our vision for the perfect destination wedding. Planning such an important event from such a distance is daunting, and Aimée never ceased to make us feel as though everything was firmly within her grasp. No detail was left unnoticed, and she was always accessible, exuberant, and frankly, just as excited as we were for our wedding events to take place. We felt we’d known her for years before we met for the first time upon our arrival in California. Aimée consistently shared innovative ideas, provided budget-conscious planning considerations, and made sure that we never allowed the littlest details to overwhelm the bigger picture – our upcoming marriage.

We are so grateful for the seamless coordination and management of our beautiful San Francisco rehearsal, rehearsal dinner, wedding day festivities – including a mid-day City Hall ceremony (no simple feat), and our gorgeous, glamorous reception.

Additionally, Aimée’s recommended partner vendor referrals were also a blessing, and our glowing reviews extend beyond to our DJ (DJ Sparkle), photographer (Hayley Anne Photography), and Aimée’s assistant, Jake Karecki (an absolute gem). If we could recreate our experience all over again, we would relive every moment in exactly the same way, start to finish. At the end of the day, our wedding was so perfectly simple and “us”.

Along with our families, we will reminisce fondly forever on our wedding – we are so indebted to Weddings by Aimée for making our events so incredibly beautiful and momentous!
